Helena-West Helena City Council Meets Tonight at 6:00 p.m.
City Council Meets Tuesday; Agenda Published
The Helena-West Helena City Council is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, September 20, 2001. Their last regular meeting was cancelled on September 6, 2011. This is the first meeting in nearly a month for the council. Notably, no violent crime has been reported in the city limits since the last council meeting. Also on the crime fighting front, Mr. Uless Wallace was named the new chief of the Helena-West Helena Police Department on September 1, 2011.
Wallace replaced Mr. Ray Price, a long serving veteran of the Law Enforcement Arena. It has been reported to us that Mr. Price suffer a health issue soon after the change over took place. No medical verification has been provided suggesting that one thing had anything to with the other.

Officials have received a specific and credible but unconfirmed terror threat having to do with New York or Washington, the Associated Press is reporting.
A counterterrorism official tells the AP that law enforcement officials have been investigating the intelligence since it was received late Wednesday night.
