Mr. Michael L. Boone, City Treasurer for the City of Helena-West Helena, Arkansas, has submitted another timely financial report to the city council and general public. Under our local rules, Mr. Boone’s report is due at the second meeting of the month. Therefore, this report, which covers July 2010 and is considered the August report, is not due until August 17, 2010. The report is attached for your review and consideration.
A quick summation of the report is as follows. For the month July our income was $248,802.27 more than our expenses. For the current fiscal year our income exceeds our expenses by $537,456.06. These numbers are bolstered by the July financial report. Each quarter, January, April, July, and October; we receive franchise tax payments which increase our revenues in those particular months over and above what might be considered an average month. Our general fund bank reconciliation report shows a Statement Balance of $250,626.57 with outstanding checks in the amount of $151,328.00 therefore giving us a reconciled balance of $99,298.57.
